You've probably heard
the saying that no news is good news. Well, here's one simple stress
avoidance technique that will change your life and improve your
well-being.
I attended a stress management seminar many years ago, where the presenter challenged us to do a simple task that made some amazing changes in my life.
All we had to do was NOT watch, read or listen to the news for the next 2 weeks.
This may seem like a strange and difficult thing to do. But, I took the challenge and was amazed at how much less stressed I felt after only a few days.
It seems that many people project themselves into the events of the news. We feel the pain of the parent who's child has been hurt.
We feel the hunger of famine victims ... the cruelty of wars ... murders ... floods ... and other catastrophes. But, they are not your experiences.
You don't need to hear or see these events. They trigger a stress response (fight or flight) in you and you have no way to resolve it. So simply STOP!
I even stopped watching crime programs and now only watch comedies or "feel good" movies. They can still have action in them, but they are less real. You can also find “Good News” websites online.
Try it and see how you feel!

I
have done a great deal of research into the root cause of most common
ailments.
*
The cause of all disease - the facts are:
-
We live in an increasing stressful environment
-
When unresolved stress builds it eventually reaches breaking point
-
The symptoms vary due to heredity and lifestyle factors
- Stress induced eating and lifstyle habits contribute to a toxic overload

-
Environmental stress is the least known cause of poor health

A chain under pressure will break at its weakest link

How your thoughts and habits affect your health and prosperity:
There
is a saying: "If you always do what you've always done, you'll
always get what you always got."
* Another variation on the same theme:
If
you keep THINKING what you are thinking, you will keep DOING what you
are doing, and you will keep GETTING what you are getting.
As a an adult, you make choices every day. If you are not satisfied with the way your life is going, you need to make different choices. I know now that the passage of time brings opportunities to us all and that fear of change and fear of failure are the biggest obstacles to experiencing what we truly desire.
In these more enlightened days of easy access to information, it is now possible to make better informed choices that will enable you to halt or even reverse the deterioration in your health and prosperity, step-by-step. In order to move forward, you may have to make many changes, but as the saying goes: 'A journey of a thousand miles starts with the first step.'
Maybe this is your first or second step. Whether or not you've heard or read this information before, I know from experience that it helps to be reminded from time to time, because we often get distracted and forget what we need to be doing to make our dreams come true.
* Healing requires change: A change of perspective or moving to a new location -a holiday or a change of habits - further education - a new job or hobby - an exercise routine or a change of diet and so on.
* "Energy flows where attention goes": So if you focus more on what you want in your life, then you can begin to improve your body and mind - your relationships with people and money. This process allows you to interact and have more fun, which is the ultimate reason for doing anything. Checkout the web links below for more information.
Thanks for reading this and have a great day. I welcome your questions and comments.
